DO11: Extracting multi-part rars

When I extract a multi-part rar to the destination, I'm forced to select part1.rar or Dopus cannot extract the rar. If I use WinRAR, I can right click extract from any part number and it will extract successfully. I'm using DO 11 beta 7.

I want to extract the entire archive to the destination by selecting any part number.

That is discussed here: Must click on .rar-file to extract

Scripting in Opus 11 could probably provide a way to divert actions on any part to thw first part.

(The error message should be better as well, which I'll look at. It should say it will only open the first volume.)

I think DOpus should adopt Total Commander's behavior. It's one of the things I miss about using TC. TC works under the assumption that you want to act on the whole archive set as a whole no matter which part of the set you interact with. For example, double click part 14 of the set & you are shown the full archive contents. Select part 68 or whatever and give the command to extract, the entire contents are extracted.

It makes perfect sense when you stop to really think about it because when would anyone want to interact with just part of a set and part of the contents? There might be some esoteric need to do so at some point, but 99.99% of the time 99% of the users are going to want the behavior above. It sounds like a trivial feature request, but when you regularly work with archive sets that have 100+ parts, it's a real time-saver not having to scroll around looking for the first part just so you can work with it.

When the feature was implemented into TC's feature-set it was received with universal praise. No one preferred the old method, which is the method DOpus currently uses.

Not quite true:

There has already been a request to change TC back to the old behaviour.
