I'd like to suggest two similar changes: making the filter or highlighting available for all columns. Whichever column sorting is active, the filter should also work on that.
Likewise, the new yellow marker highlighting should work on columns other than name.
Alternatively, a new option would be handy, to transform highlighted matches to selected items, similiar to "selectfromchecks".
