I love the new features of the Command/Script Editor like syntax highlighting and showing line numbers. The only thing I'm really missing is the possibility to enlarge the font because depending on windows settings it appears very small with my settings. This makes it hard for me to work for a longer time with the editor when writing/testing/editing scripts. Always having to use my external editor when working with a script function button is not very comfortable.
The most comfortable way to edit button scripts would indeed be to have script commands saved in files stored in a subfolder of /dopusdata. Always having to enable/disable the customize mode is really annoying. The way ScriptAddIns can be edited is much more comfortable in comparison. If this could be implemented I would probably use it in some cases even for more complex buttons with only DOpus standard or MSDos commands that need to be tested several times just to avoid the customize mode.
Nothing stops you using script addins for all your scripts already, if you prefer to edit them that way.
The editor should use your system wide font sizes, I think.
Nothing stops you using script addins for all your scripts already, if you prefer to edit them that way.
That's what I thought of and immediately did with my script just seconds after my first post, sorry.
The editor should use your system wide font sizes, I think.
I'm aware of this. It's what I meant with "...depending on windows settings it appears very small. I don't want to change DPI or font settings more than I already did. It's fine in most cases but when working for hours with large text files I need a larger font. Every editor even the command prompt allows to change the font size so the DOpus command editor is one of the last few places where I can't customize this. For me it's a very basic feature for everything that deals with written text.
Can't customize something essential in DOPus? Impossible!
