DO12 Image Viewer and scroll wheel

When I am using the image viewer in DO12, I can move from one image to the next with the scroll wheel. However, if I activate the metadata panel in the viewer, this function ceases to work. Close the panel and function is restored.

Is this as it should be, or is there a problem, or even a configuration issue?

After opening the metadata panel, click back on the image itself. Does the wheel then change images?
