The tree shows 'Documents' when I click on my user.
The lister window does not show 'Documents' however.
The attached image will explain better than words.
Any ideas on this?

Have you set a filter that could be hiding it? You didn't include your status bar in the screenshot so I can't tell, but that should indicate if any items are being hidden.
No, no filters set. At least not intentionally.
Though I should like to filter the junctions out of the display, I have not.
I'm attaching a complete screenshot.
Strange! What do you see when you view that folder through Explorer?
Ah, good find.
I do not see Documents in that folder either.
Very odd, as the 'Favorite Links' has Documents and it indeed opens Documents.
I wonder if it's possible that the Documents folder has been moved in some way. In Opus, if you select the Documents folder from the tree, and then click in the path field at the bottom of the lister to edit the real path, where does it say the folder is located?
Indeed it is relocated to D:
D:\Documents
I used the Properties page to move it as that is my data drive. Been that way for years now.
Odd for it to show and open from the D.O. tree but not show in the lister window.
Not really odd at all, considering the Lister is showing the contents of C:\Users\Gary
Well...
Had I also noticed the lack of Pictures and Music (also on D), maybe a little bell would have went off. Maybe not too. Ha!
Sorry, thanks for the gentle nudge in the right direction.
The tree however shows a different set of directories.
I'd much rather see those in the lister window when I select that location in the tree.
And, it is how every other tree entry works, if you see child entries in the tree, they are there in the lister window.
This one is different, and though I understand (kind of) why, the difference says that it could work differently because the info is available.
Because the tree isn't showing you C:\Users\Gary, it's showing you a virtualized folder called "Gary C. Hammer". This is how Windows works - lots of virtual folders that don't correspond to the reality of what is on your hard drive. Blame Microsoft if you find it confusing
If you navigate through the tree to Computer -> C: -> Users -> Gary you will see the real folder structure.

Consider them blamed. Ha!
So, how about using the virtual folder in D.O., is it possible?
We do - in the tree. Isn't this the same as Explorer? If you view the "Gary C. Hammer" folder in Explorer does it show the Documents folder, or is it the same as Opus?
Hmm, interesting. I didn't know it would do that! Learn something new every day
Me too!
Also, I have used Properties to move the Music and Pictures folders too.
And as with Documents, they are shown and open with the proper location.
I'm also pretty happy with the saved searches in Vista.
But Opus' collections work better for my purposes.
Now, a collection of searches, that'd be cool.
