XYplorer has a nice Instant Color Filter button where you can toggle it through various filters and display it instantly displaying in a different color all files and folders created today (for example). See other options below.
Some other options are:
[ul]
[li] Created or Modified Today[/li]
[li] Created or Modified This Week[/li]
[li] Folders Created Recently[/li]
[li] Files Modified Recently[/li]
[li] Empty Files[/li]
[li] Files Shaded by Size[/li][/ul]
I find it very handy.
I especially like the "Created or Modified Today" option. But other options are also handy.
feature request: Can the background of the Assigned labels become the same as the one I use in the listers?
I use a dark background and light colors for labels. These colors are hard to see on the white background in the settings window. I would be happy with a black/white background switch too.
It would be great if I could change the color to my liking.
The green color is just a bit too bright. Can I select my colors other than from the drop down list?
Hi Leo. I am not at my computer right now, but I changed the unselected text and icon color to the darker green in the color palette.
I then selected that label color and applied it like your image above.
The text changes to the darker green, but the folder icon displays as the light green.
I experimented with other colors, and I have the same problem with the folder color not matching the text color. Some do, some don't. I came to the conclusion that only certain colors will work for folder icons. I guess I must be wrong.
The selected colour is blended with the original colours of the target icon so the final result you get will vary depending on how the colours combine. You might not always get exactly the same colour you chose.
The blending happens if you re-color the file or folder's natural icon (since there's no other way to take an icon and recolor it, unless you lose all the shading and end up with a silhouette).
If you want exact icon colors (or indeed shapes), you can use the option below that replaces the entire icon with any .ico file of your choosing.
Thanks Leo.
In my particular case both the light green (RGB 0, 255, 0) and dark green (RGB 0, 128, 0) selection produces the same color folder icon. That's OK. I might try looking for .ico folders.
