DOpus 10?

I know it is likely a while away, but I was wondering if there is a roadmap in place for version 10?

By the way, you guys are doing an amazing job! I am the IT Admin for my company and I am trying to get DOpus into my IT Budget for next year. Keep up the great work.

What are the major new features in Dopus 10?

Opus 10 hasn't been written yet so nobody really knows.

Oh, so probably 1-2 years away :frowning:

I didn't say that. No point speculating about release dates or features now, though. When there are concrete details I'm sure they'll be announced by GPSoft.

So there is no version 10 for Win7 as version 9 was for Vista?

Also is there any features that the developers themselves would like to see in a future version (any future version), that haven't been incorporated yet? :unamused:

Opus 9 already works for Windows 7.

Of course there are new features planned and in development. They're not just going to change the version number. They won't be announced until things are more concrete, though, else people get disappointed if the plan changes.

Don't you think that it is up to you to say what you want from the next version?

Doubtless the software writers, and the regular expert users, have plenty of thoughts. But which should they pursue?

User feedback always helps when making such decisions.

Me, I just want a version that comes with a Leo attached so that it is easier to fathom.

Yes, but the hardware requirements for a DOpus version with Leo attached would be too high ...

I could use a Leo too, does one come cheap or very expensive.

Seriously Leo, you do a great job here in the forum - thanks for that.

It might just take plenty of cat food.

Any ETA for v.10?

In due season.

Natural date is 10.10.2010

One of the few that works in the USA and the real world.

But many would go for 2010.10.10.

Easier to sort.

Actually I prefer 10.X.2010.
You don't need to put date into name, just sort by modification date .

Oh, btw, I though that in the USofA it should be 10/10/2010?

Yes, you are correct, but I find it archaic.
I prefer 2010-10-10_00-00-00 .

Thread locked. The Help & Support forum isn't for discussing your favourite date formats. Use the Coffeeshop forum for that type of thing.
