Crash, exit or high CPU usage when viewing certain directories may be worth checking out, in case a shell extension or particular plugin, or file on the device is involved.
If a crash dump is created, you can email it to leo@gpsoft.com.au and I'll take a look to see if it reveals anything, when I have a moment (there's a backlog at the moment though).
