Running DOpus 13.11 x64 on an ARM64 MS Surface Pro 11.
When DOpus searches for files containing some strings it crashes and exits.
Event viewer reports OFFFILTX.DLL as the failing module.
DOpus does not generate any crash log.
I (think I) understand OFFFILTX.DLL is used to "read" the content of MS Office files.
As MS Office files are essential for my work this is vers annoying.
There is no problem on my x64 computer when searching through the same files.
OFFFILTX.DLL is part of Microsoft Office, not our code.
It's probably an IFilter, which will be called to search inside Office documents, whether it's Opus, File Explorer, or something else doing the search.
We can tell you how to disable the IFilter, but that may result in not being able to search inside those documents. Fixing the DLL requires Microsoft's support rather than ours (assuming your version of Office is up to date etc.).
Yes my installation is up to date.
Unfortunately Office files are 99% of the files I usually search inside.
Well, I just have to wait and hope and use the native File Explorer for searching in the mean time.
