DOpus freezes temporarily in win 10 when accessing network shares

I experience that Dopus temporarily freeze when accessing network shares.
When i try accessing the same shares with the windows file explorer it works without a hitch.
Why is that?

Also: It works ok if i map the network share as a network drive.
