Dopus has been freezing a lot lately. A couple seconds here and there the mouse cursor just freezes, nothing happens until I wait for a bit. It isn't one particular thing, just random occurrences, if I click on something to do an action. Even opening up the lister it will freeze.
Make sure you don't have mapped drives, favorites, toolbar buttons or icons, etc. pointing to network drives that are not accessible on the network.
Antivirus can also cause (usually) short freezes when inspecting exe/dll files or reading icons out of them. In some cases those affect the whole process.
If neither of those explains what's happening, you could send us some process snapshots made while Opus is frozen, which may reveal what's happening. They must be made during the freeze; if they're made just before or after it then they probably won't reveal anything.
Happening to me as well - when a freeze happens I move the mouse left and right across the top toolbar waiting for highlight to come back on, usually a 2 - 5 seconds. Nothing is responsive during the freeze. Been happening for about 1 - 2 months now, was waiting for someone else to post, thought it might be connected to my latest script.
Does not happen often, every few days maybe.
Try disabling your background changer script
Ok. It might be spybot, or google drive.
My graphics card is getting worse though. Websites flash white when loading things, and it always renders things piecemeal instead of making me wait half a second and publish everything smoothly all at once, which drives me up the wall. I will have to troubleshoot that.
What?
