how come the icon for Dopus is yellow with a '9' in the quick launch bar but is blue with no '9' in the task bar, it is a little confusing
can they be set the same?

The "9" comes and goes, randomly without meanng, as far as I can tell.
The colors of the taskbar icon have meaning as follows:
Yellow: Source lister
Red: Destination lister
Blue: Neither (including a lister with two file displays)
