Dopus not connecting to server via SSH

I’m trying to connect to one of my servers via SSH Port 22 without much success. I tested the connection out in winscp and it connects fine, just not in dopus.

Looking in the FTP log in dopus I’m getting the following message.

Opening Connection 200.200.200.10:21 FD_CONNECT - WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused Cannot Connect to Site.

One thing I noticed in the error message is that is has port 21 at the end of the IP address. Could dopus be using port 21 instead of 22 when trying to connect via SSH to the server?

Hmm I think I’ve just found the course, but it seems a bit strange.

The name of the SFTP site in my address book is called “Web & FTP” server. When it’s called this the connection doesn’t work and appears to be connecting via port 21 instead of 22. If I remove the “&” sign from the name of the SFTP site it all works perfectly, put the & symbol back in and it stops working again.

Could having the & sign in the SFTP name be forcing dopus to connect via port 21?

Interesting. Yes it does seem that this is an issue. (No one's found it before in 10 years though!:slight_smile:

We'll resolve it in the next Beta release.

It was a complete fluke that I found the issue. I spent all day yesterday trying to get to the bottom of this and it was only when I duplicated another FTP address book entry that didn't have the & symbol in that it suddenly started working.
