DOpus & Skype ( Not showing images in DOpus )

Hi,

On one of our systems running Windows Vista 64Bit OS we have had a issue with Skype & Dopus not showing images when we click the Skype icon Show in folder.

See attached Image File.

This is what we get no images in folder.

When we browse DOPus on its own the images are in the folder.

FYI on a seperate mattter when we move lots of data to external drives & FTP (100gig) at a time using DOpus we at time encounter issues with DOpus not showing the data but if we reboot all is ok once the task is completed. Have tried to reproduce it so we can forward the information but its more luck of the draw when it happens.

Cheers,

You've been asked before to limit yourself to one question per thread. Please make sure you and "your team" do so.

Hi,

Does anyone else have the same issue or know how to fix this broken link between Skype & DOpus.

Cheers,

If it's only on one of your systems then I would presume that it's something unique to that pc.

Not without psychic powers. You and your team will need to work out what you did to break it.

It's not normal for Opus to be associated with JPEG files at all.

You might associate the Opus viewer, d8viewer.exe, but it makes no sense for Opus itself, dopus.exe, to be assigned to image files.

Presumably you just need to do the obvious: Associate your image viewer of choice to the JPEG file type. Usually done using the Open With menu.

Do you know what has happened to Directory Opus version 9.5.5.1 – September 8th 2010 maybe we could install this version over the top. On the DOpus website they have version 9.5.5.0.
It's not normal for Opus to be associated with JPEG files at all.
Hi Leo it seems to be happening on all data files coming through Skype not just image files but without going off the topic it happening just like I mention a few post before while doing other task but can't repeat the problem.

On a Xp system one version a couple of version back its not happening at all so what Steve said its only unique to this pc system.

Nothing has happened to it. It's a beta ("Illuminati") version, found where those versions are always found. Whatever you read that announced/mentioned that version would have had a link to it, so just click that link to find it. (e.g. The signature below every single one of my posts, including the one you just replied to, links to the latest beta and non-beta versions...)

Ok, just tried here on Windows 7 x64 with the latest version of Skype and everything works fine. I received a .jpg and clicked on the show in folder link in Skype. Opus opened in the correct folder and the file was visible.

Could this be fixed via registry or is it best to reinstall Skype or DOpus over the top of the current version.

Ok, this is just getting sillier and sillier. You have problems with Skype and Opus and you haven't even tried reinstalling either of them ?

Sheesh, locking the thread before I lose the will to live...
