The only issue it might cause is some folder names (more likely on the C:\ drive) may be slightly different, as turning that off means Opus always displays the real name of directories as they exist on disk, not the "display name" some of them have which overrides it.
In other languages, that's more of a problem, as it'll reveal the English names of things. In English, it doesn't usually make a big difference, but will give slightly different names for a few folders, especially the folders in your user profile. (E.g. Microsoft kept adding and removing the "My" prefix to the display names of folders like "My Documents" / "Documents" for a few years until they made up their minds, while the real directory names on disk didn't change.)
