Double click on a folder on the desktop - Get a new tab every time

Is it possible to get a new tab every time I double click on the same folder on the desktop? Right now, the second time goes to the existing tab from the first double click on the folder on the desktop. I know alternative solutions. I am wondering if my question is possible. TIA!

Create a new desktop shortcut or change the existing one.

Example: "C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopusrt.exe" /acmd Go "D:\Downloads" NEWTAB=tofront

Thanks for the suggestion. I wanted to click on an actual folder on the desktop not a shortcut to a folder. It is a good idea, though. Thanks.
