Hi, dear support team,
I have strange and annoying behavior - double click on desktop icons opens Directory Opus.
It concern Image and EXE files. What to do, plz help.
Does it stop happening if you set Preferences / Launching Opus / From the Desktop to Disable and click OK?
(That setting should not change what double-clicking icons does, but it could be involved.)
If that doesn't make a difference, is it only icons on the desktop that are affected, or does it happen in other places too? e.g. Can you launch exe files from the Start Menu OK? What happens when you double-click an image or exe using File Explorer?
Thank you very much, it helped. Just disabled this feature and behavior became normal.
Are you using anything that changes how the desktop behaves? e.g. To rearrange icons in ways beyond what's build in to Windows? Or any other tools which also have desktop (background) double-click handlers?
No, no any of these things. Just irfanview for pics, that's all.
I reinstalled Opus with new version and looks like it fixed. Thank you very much
That wasn't us. Something else must have changed (or been modified by something else, then fixed by reinstalling).
