Double click to load folder

I've setup my two computers to share files through the network. The 'Files' and 'Users' folders are shared. When I double click on the 'Users' folder, it opens the folder in the same lister. However, when I double click on the 'Files' icon, it reloads the 'Files' and 'Users' folder. If I right click on the 'Files folder and open in Dopus, it loads another lister with the 'Files' folder contents.

How do I get the double click to load the 'Files' folder?

Are these shortcuts on the desktop you're double-clicking, or something else?

If they are shortcuts, what does each one point to when you open their Properties dialog?

I click on the Network in the folder tree. Then click on double click the C5II-PC computer which brings up the Files and Users folders.

I'm not sure, sorry. I don't see those folders at all here, possibly due to differences in how my network drives are set up.

Does doing the same thing work in File Explorer?

If you expand the computer in the tree, can you see the folders you're trying to access from there?

It works normally in File Explorer.

Yes I can see the folders I want to access from the tree.

Do they work OK if you access them via the tree?

Could you also post a screenshot showing the full window and including the thing you're double-clicking that causes the problem, so we can see exactly what it is? We don't see the same item on our setups.

I think I found out what is going on.

I expanded the folder tree and it denied me access to the Files folder. I get the following message. "You might not have permission to se this network resources".

But I've created a button and I can access the Files folder from that. However it opens another list, how do I get it to load in the lister that it is launched from?

I'm not sure what's going on there, unless it just isn't accessible. The tree not showing (\\C5ii-pc) after the share name like it does for the Users share suggests something about that share is unusual or cannot be accessed like a normal folder.

Is that a Windows machine at the other end or something else?

Both machines are Windows 7.
