DP interaction with Stardock Fences

I recently installed Fences 6 on my PC. It allows for areas of the desktop to be organized into "fences" for storing icons in groups. One of its features is rollup which is supposed to collapse the group into its title bar when double clicking the title bar.

Here is a screenshot of my Fences "Browsers" group for reference:

If I double click a title bar in Fences to rollup a Fences group into the title bar, it instead opens Directory Opus. I suspect this may be caused by Directory Opus (version 13.20) therefore, I exited Directory Opus so it was no longer running. Double clicking a Fences title bar continues to open Directory Opus, with a little delay as it starts up again. I assume DP It is not recognizing the Fences title bar and sees it as a blank space on the desktop since double-clicking a blank space on the desktop opens DP. If I exit Directory Opus and end the DP Helper Application task in Task Manager, Fences rollup works as expected.

Windows 11 25H2 is installed on the PC

Both Opus and Fences are hooking the double click on the desktop.
Opus seems to be stronger  or simply the first or last to register the event.
You can either modify fences so the groups collapse on hovering them (which is my configuration), or Opus to unregister the double click on desktop to launch.

Preferences / Launching Opus / From the Desktop: Disable

Good suggestions on the settings options for Fences and DP. Thanks.

Having just installed Fences, I have not delved into its settings and had completely forgotten about the ability in DP to disable launching from the desktop

What’s DP?

Directory Popus?
