Why does this happen? I really like Opera because of its responsiveness but can’t use Directory Opus if this happens.
Does it also happen when dragging from Opera to File Explorer?
Hi, no, only to directory opus:)
I can only reproduce this in ways that also happen with the windows desktop.
If I drag an image file (e.g. the Opus icon at the top of this page) to Opus or the desktop, that is saved as a PNG file.
If I drag a link to an exe or zip file (e.g. "autom3u1005.zip" near the top of Miscellaneous Software), it selects the text instead. But if I hold Shift or Ctrl and then drag the link, it creates a link in both Opus and the Windows desktop, rather than saving the file. Or rather, it does sometimes. Sometimes it just selects the text and won't let me drag at all.
So whatever is going on, Opera can save files into Opus in at least some situations (images), but also seems to have problems with drag & drop in general that aren't specific to Opus.
