Now the drive icons are always treated like new files and displayed like this. ( I set it like that)
In the directory structure everything is as before and is displayed correctly.
It's a visual problem, but it's not pretty.
according to the original
jetziger zustand, (neue Dateien in blau und Text rot/fett)
It looks like you have a label applying to them which is changing the text and icon colors.
Have a look under Preferences / Favorites and Recent / Label Assignments for anything that might be matching them.
Or look under Preferences / Favorites and Recent / Labels for a label that sets the text color red and the icon to blue, which should give you an idea of which label assignments to look at.
If you want it to apply only to files you'd need to add a clause that does that; otherwise it will apply to anything (including drives) that have been modified within 1 day.
the problem has disappeared into thin air.
that's right.
Note: Problem solved!! But not all drives are in use and are modified. Not even scanned. The icons are located on the SSD / HD and are only read during system startup.
There was a change in the beta which affected the dates drives were considered to have for the purpose of filtering.
Drive roots don't really have modified or created dates, so it's arbitrary what their timestamps are, but we didn't intend to change how filters behaved with them.
In the next beta, we'll restore things to how they worked before.
That's interesting. I never was aware that Opus could even monitor changes in whole drives. Maybe, because i didn't use the "changed" clause so far. But good to know.
It's not really monitoring the whole drive here. The timestamps for drive roots are arbitrary/meaningless, and it's just that in the last beta the value we use for them (in some places where something has to have a timestamp, even if it's a made-up one) went from always being the earliest time possible (the year 1601 or something) to the current time.
I don't think the change will affect anything other than filters which highlight recent folders, but we'll change things back so they work how they used to.
Makes sense. Since i guess there is too much stuff going on on those drives, changewise. Anyway, status flags and filters are one of my favorite toys/tools to play around with in Opus. I use them a lot, and it makes it so much easier to keep track of new downloads, or folders. And i think i have even used maybe a small part of the versatility of what the filters could do otherwise, mostly "time=newer than" or "created within".
I also like, that we can build hierarchies of filters, like for instance having items flagged that are newer than three days, then changing to some other state like being newer than two weeks, et cetera. As far as i know, this is another very unique feature of Opus. I know, you can sort by "created" in other file managers too, but i prefer to have it sorted alphabetically, while having the filtered items riding on top.
It worked fine before, but I can't get it working the same way now. What am I doing wrong?
I want to highlight the folder (right window panel) and within that folder highlight the file when modified date has changed within 1 hour.
This is what I tried, but it highlights all, not just the only one at the top.
There's no point specifying "files or folders" as that is everything.
Remove the two Type lines entirely, so your filter is back to how it was originally, and install the new beta that came out today. That should then work how it used to before the previous beta.
