“drives” toolbar display

By activating the "disk drives" toolbar, the bar is displayed correctly but no drives are displayed on it...

Indeed, so it is

Maybe the toolbar didn't get converted properly. Here's a fresh one, if you can't factory-reset your copy.

Drives.dop (988 Bytes)

thank you for this info...it works but how do we get the titles of the drives (example c:Windows)

Append labels to the button, e.g.

Go DRIVEBUTTONS=labels

Plenty more options: Go DRIVEBUTTONS

Perfect, it works

Same issue for me - no drives. What do I do with Drives.dop?

Copy it to /buttons.

That's short for

%appdata%\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\Buttons

Does anyone who had a blank drives toolbar still have a backup of their Opus 12 config made before updating to 13?

We'd like to work out if something is going wrong with the conversion process, or if the toolbar was already blank before the update (which might happen if the things on it were dragged to another toolbar).

So far we haven't been able to reproduce the issue with our own configs or a default config.

Here may be actually a DO 12 backup inside in spite of the name - simple mistake. You check it

User - Opus Config - 12 - 2023-08-06.7z (109.2 KB)

I might have a lot more, but if this one isn't a 12, the rest isn't either ...

Many thanks!

As far as I am concerned, the readers bar was "empty" in V12 but since the "ixp" info with the ".dop reader" it works very well for info installed on V13...

The drives toolbar in there was saved in version 12.31, and just had a copy of the Help menu on it, with the drive-buttons removed.

My guess is it was used as a scratch toolbar for experimenting with things in the past, maybe after moving the drive-buttons to another toolbar. Looks like it was like that before the conversion process, at least from what I can tell so far.

You're right! I remember now. In order to save screen real estate I moved it somewhere else. I'm a minimalist. Nothing you don't really need. As it turns out, I don't really need the drives toolbar. Plenty of ways to access the drives easily
