I just replaced my old laptop (Intel x86) with a new ASUS Zenbook A14 (ARM64 Snapdragon X processor). I am running Windows 11 24H2 (OS Build 26100 2476) for ARM64 processors, Directory Opus 13.13 x64 Build 9161 (Jan. 30, 2025) and the latest version of DropBox for ARM64 processors version 220.3.4043.
My desktop PC is using the same build of Windows 11 (64 bit for Intel processors) and Directory Opus 13. Right-clicking on a file in my DropBox folder using Directory Opus correctly displays the DropBox context menu, allowing me to copy DropBox file links, share, etc.
The DropBox context menu does not appear on my ASUS Zenbook A14 (ARM64 Snapdragon X processor) when right-clicking on a file in my DropBox folder using Directory Opus. However, the DropBox context menu does appear when right-clicking on a file in my DropBox folder using Windows Explorer.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Directory Opus but nothing changed after doing this.
The "Hide Windows items on file context menus" setting in Directory Opus" settings is unchecked.
Your help solving this issue would be apppreciated.
If you search a bit on this forum, you'll soon find out there are many issues with ARM based PC.
At some point, there might be a native ARM Build, but that does not exists for the moment.
I did a complete uninstall of the previous version of Directory Opus including registry entries, and then installed this new 13.15.1 beta version.
I rebooted my PC and tested the 13.15.1 beta version with respect to DropBox context menus. Unfortunately, the 13.15.1 beta version still does not solve the issue of missing DropBox context menus.
Dropbox context menus are still working properly in Windows Explorer.
Thanks for all of the effort that you and the rest of the development team are investing in optimizing Directory Opus for ARM64 processors.
I'm glad that you were able to confirm this issue. Since we last corresponded, my ARM64 based Windows PC had a software meltdown and I had to reinstall Windows. After installing DropBox, the DropBox context menu items weren't even showing up for dropbox files in Windows Explorer. I had to uninstall OneDrive (which I don't use) for the DropBox context menu items to show up for Dropbox files in Windows Explorer. It seems as though there is a limit to how many external context menu items can be displayed.
