Starting from a dual pane, if I close the last tab in the active pane, I end up with a single remaining pane marked as inactive. By definition a single pane should always be active, not so?

My normal usage pattern is to work with dual listers, frequently a single dual lister, so my reaction is based on habit rather than logic. A fair cop, Guv!
