Can parent menus be created for inserting in multiple locations - i.e. like marker menus?
Problem: I've customized the lister context menu with sub menus - however, right-clicking a blank area isn't always available so i have to click on the little lister icon or scroll the window down to a clear area.
Partial solution: I duplicated the sub-menus on a toolbar but they don't stay synchronized after editing them. To keep them in sync - I have to re-drag the newly edited version to the other location then delete the old!
Is there an easier way to accomplish this? I really like the convenience of right-clicking in a lister window to navigate with custom sub-menus!
Could the middle mouse button display a custom menu for the lister window under the mouse cursor?
When there's no empty space in the file display you can still access the folder context menu by right-clicking the status bar or the file display border (if either of them are enabled). (The file display border is always at the top of the displays when in Dual Display mode, but optional in Single Display mode. The "hot paths" can also be turned off in the file display border to give you more area to right-click on for the menu you want, if that helps.)
I can't think of a good way to include one menu/toolbar inside another one without making a copy. (If you wanted the same menu to appear as a toolbar as well, there is a way to do that, but I'm guessing you want a copy of the menu to appear when you click something on the toolbar, rather than the menu itself to be the toolbar.)
You can run a command which opens a "floating" copy of a menu or toolbar, which will look much like a context menu; problem is it won't close after you select something. (It's intended for 'docks' that stay on screen all the time.)
