Any plans to support viewing of eBook formats for the Directory Opus viewer.

Any eBook preview handler that works in File Explorer should also work in Opus. There's also a native viewer plugin API if anyone wants to write an Opus-specific one.
can you point me to any eBook preview handlers that will work in dopus ?
I've never used eBooks myself, and do not have any, so I don't know which to recommend. Google finds several results that look worth a try.
eBooks are a thing now, here to stay. I'm not up to writing a preview handler and would certainly pay extra bucks for this feature, say for version 13 
I did look at the sumatra page and apparently it's open source, does all these formats - Perhaps you or some other capable programmer could have a look ?
Sumatra already has a preview handler. It's an option during installation.
How do i set it up in dopus ?
The same as in File Explorer. Select the option in the installer.
Whether it views only PDFs or eBooks as well, I don't know.

yes its for pdfs only, can view them in windows explorer when item is checked. Does not do epubs, mobi, etc.
.epubs are just zip files - add the extension to Opus prefs and you can double click them to view the contents, then preview the .html files. Not the same but good enough for a quick preview surely.
