Ebooks in viewer pane

My workflow would be much more efficient if DOpus' viewer supported ebook formats ( mostly .epub & .mobi). Any thought of adding this functionality?

It's something preview handlers should take care of, assuming someone's written one for the format(s).

Any written for File Explorer's preview pane should also work in Opus's.

Is there a way of pre-processing what gets sent to the viewer pane resp. the preview handlers?

Now that Edge is available it might be a bit easier to preview file types that are not currently supported, like .gpx and .epub.

You could send those extensions directly to Edge, if it can handle them by itself.

There isn't currently a way to modify things and then send something different to Edge, but we could probably add a scripting event or something.

Been thinking about something along those lines for SVG files, since Edge doesn't do a great job of viewing them standalone (random, usually huge size, and no dragging with the mouse), but they could be wrapped inside some HTML/JS that builds a better viewer inside Edge.

Calibre (https://calibre-ebook.com/) has a standalone ebook viewer (I have a button to open it from DOpus). I believe that Calibire is open source. I wonder if that could form the basis of a handler to work in the viewer pane.

+1 on epub viewer.
