Elevation prior to executing .msi

I tried to install a new version of Code42. I got the following error:

So I figured "no problem" - I pressed the Admin button and tried again. I still got the UAC prompts from the installer and the above error message. Does msi file execution (installation) not partake of the elevated status?

Is there a solution?

It's entirely up to the installer when/whether it prompts for elevation.

Presumably the same thing happens if you launch the .msi from File Explorer as well? If so, please take it up with the people who made the installer.
