The issue is regarding the keyboard "ENTER KEY," when I press the ENTER key, I always get the network, no matter where I am and what set up, even on the Directory Opus setup. I have searched where this shortcut key might have been accidentally assigned, I'll like to know how to remove it or otherwise.
Thank you for the fast response, I have checked I only have one assignment with the ENTER key is Shft- Num on Image viewer. I have unchecked the Image Viewer Key even with that uncheck the ENTER keeps showing the network. Last week, I had to reinstall the program because of some strange behavior, I do not recall, but it did solve the problem. Do you think I need to reinstall the program or there're other things I can do before?
Do you mean the Network folder opens when you push Enter, even if you aren't in an Opus window?
What happens if you select Preferences / Launching Opus / Explorer Replacement / Don't replace Explorer and click OK? Do you then get Network opening in a File Explorer window when you push Enter?
If so, it's probably not Opus which is doing it. Something else may have set up a global hotkey which makes Enter do that. Tools like Autohotkey could do that if misconfigured. It may also be possible to do it via a shortcut (e.g. desktop icon, start menu entry, etc.) to the network folder, since you can assign hotkeys to those.
Directory Opu is not the default explorer in Window. I've checked it is set to "do not replace Window Explorer". In Window Explorer, I do not get the Network. When I'm in Window Explorer, when I select a folder, I'm getting the folder where I want to go. When I'm in Direcory Opus when I get to the folder, I always get the Network with all the computers, and network links printers, router, etc....
I'm a bit confused about exactly what is happening.
Do you mean that pushing Enter when a folder is selected always takes you to Network instead of the selected folder? (Does double-clicking a folder have the same result?)
Or do you mean that pushing Enter at any point, in any Opus window will open the Network folder?
When I click with the mouse, I get to the folder. With the Enter key, I always get to the network even when I’m a selected file. For example, if I want to go to D:\project with the mouse I’m able to get to the folder but with the Enter key, I’m always going directly to the network environment. This also happens on a selected file, for example, on a PDF file usually when I’m pressing on the Enter Key the file is opening, in this case, I’m getting to the Network environment. This is happening only in Directory Opus. I’ve just tried it in Windows Explorer; the Enter Key behavior is OK; I get to any folder, and any file is opening. First, I thought it was because of the arrangement style that I’ve personalized, I’ve done some tried. This is happening in many of the style arrangements even with the Directory Opus default ones. As for the note, when I’m personalizing any types of links, I rarely assign a shortcut key to it. I’ve checked in the “Personnalize Window” under shortcut tab, there is no Enter Key assigns only the Alt-Enter getting to the Image Viewer and Shift-Enter getting path entry; Enter key is not assigned.
Thank you Leo, the problem is solved, the strange thing I did exactly that two weeks ago and restore the config. I found out the config that I was using was having some problem with the Enter key, for some reason, was affecting all my configs. This is why I came here for rescue. Well, this time the problem came back only on the same particular config that I'm using regurlarly, by restoring an older version of the config, the Enter key is working correctly and everywhere else. I must have missed some steps in my uninstalling and reinstalling the program I do not recall, may be the reboot was not performed when I did reinstall the program. I'll remember that, because this was quite annoying.
