Is that even possible? Viewer displays them perfectly, but thumbnails are not shown - icons are displayed instead. I see a few ancient discussions on the issue, but no real solution...

Any thumbnailer which works in File Explorer should also work in Opus.
A search of the forum for "EPS thumbnails" finds this: Free thumbnails viewer for EPS, PDF 32/64 bit and many more

Ah thanks so much, I didn't find that result when searching...
Installed Sage, thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it misses quite a few files, but I'll try playing with it.
