Expand FAYT Pin Functionality to Other Modes

The pin functionality (pin button) of the FAYT field to prevent it from disappearing when it loses focus, currently available in the Command, DOS Command, and WSL Command modes, would also be extremely useful in these other modes (Everything, Opus Search, Windows Search, Select, and Range).

To control this pin functionality, I also propose adding:

  • A toggle option (to have the pin toggled on or off by default) on the preferences page under Preferences / Filtering and Sorting / Find-As-You-Type.
  • A CLI command argument to override the configured pin behavior.

Not against that, but the search field on the default toolbars covers most of those already, if you want something that stays on screen.

(You could put it on a toolbar below the file display and make a button or hotkey to toggle it, if you don't want it on all the time in the top-right corner where it is by default.)

Thank you for the tips! I'll definitely try that out with my lister layout. I generally prefer the FAYT field and find it more versatile as it supports modes other than search. It's also suitable for some use cases like running CLI internal commands (or buttons) where control over cursor placement is needed in the text field (e.g., noselect:, {cp}).

We've added this for the next update.

It seems like it doesn't work with FAYT script.

Thanks, fixed in the next beta.
