The other day I started noticing explorer.exe crashing whenever i right-clicked on the desktop (usually to get into Vistas "Personalize" menu), the event log reads "Faulting application Explorer.EXE, version 6.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e01da5, faulting module SHLWAPI.dll" etc..
Have tracked down the problem to the DOpus entry in the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers, which on my system has a default value of B9DD4945-1BED-4CB7-994C-F40B72B7725A - if I disable or remove this entry, the crash does not occur.
Not any major problem at all, I can live perfectly happy without that particular shortcut, but was just curious as to what might be causing it?
