Opus (13.7.5) is showing External HDD (USB connected) as Local Drive (SSD).
What does File Explorer show?
It’s possible the device (or USB adapter) is misreporting what it is.
Windows Explorer shows it as "Local Disk".
Seems an issue with the USB adapter the drive is connected via (or the drivers for it, but they usually don’t use custom drivers).
Opus and Explorer just report the type the OS says the drive is, which in turn comes from the adapter the drive is plugged into.
Leo.. Although Windows Explorer shows the USB connected external HDD as Local Disk but it shows it as Hard Disk Drive in the Optimize Media dialog under Properties/Tools menu, whereas Opus shows it as SDD which is incorrect.
The defrag tool may use a different method to identify the drive type. I don't know, to be honest.
Either way, the drive/controller is misreporting its type.
If you want, you can make an evaluator column which overrides the type string for some or all drives, and group by that. Or, even easier, turn off grouping entirely if it's not wanted.
