Faster logging activity?

When are the log files ( Help->Logs->File Logs ) updated?

Reason for asking is: I was copying various (big) files twice.
During the first copying task, I went on to do something else.
After completing the task, I wasn't really sure which files went where, what still had to be done, etc. So I checked the log files, hoping to find what I was looking for there.
However, the entries there were stopped 1/2 hour ago, i.e. copy-tasks weren't logged.

It depends which level of logging you have turned on, but log entries should appear the moment they are triggered.

If individual file logging is not turned on, then a log entry may not be created until the overall (copy/move/delete) operation finishes.

This is assuming the type of operation is set to be logged at all. Check under Preferences / File Operations / Logging.

Thanks.

FWIW, under File Function Logging Level
'Custom' is tagged and all items below that.
Log file functions max. 25000 events.

later: does it make any difference if two Opus sessions were active?
(wild guess)

There's only ever one instance of Opus, unless we are talking about multiple users on the same machine.

If you have two or more windows open, there's still only one copy of the program running.

Okay.
Well, I don't know... at time of my 1st post above, last log-entry was at 14:20, it is now 16:35 here, I have deleted, copied, moved a lot of stuff and only 4 entries were added.
