can you add a command like FAVBAR that will list the Favorites Bar branch instead of the Favorites, so I don't have to use the sub-menu, or is there a way to do this already ?

how about adding it to the Folder Tree/Contents please, either as an item in the tree or an option under Merge Favorites and Smart Favorites - Merge Favorites and Favorites Bar
The Favorites Bar is already a part of Favorites (it's just a branch like any other branch).

If you aren’t using the Favorites Bar toolbar, you can delete the branch entirely. You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to.
The new Favorites Bar is essential, can drag and drop to it when it's in a toolbar (the only toolbar that can do this). Using it as a side navigation panel.
If you have it on a top-level toolbar, why would you want to access it often via a sub-menu as well?
Set it up however you want. You can put the top-level favorites list directly on the toolbar if you want that, and not use a branch. It's entirely up to you.
What I want is the Favorites Bar Branch as a seperate item in the folder tree, at the moment it is not staying pinned when closing and then opening the Folder Tree. Which is not what the OP is about, that has been resolved.
