Favorites - Branches - Not Displayed in Folder Tree

Assume this is a bug, but I have a Single branch under my Favorites which appears in the Favorites menu but does not appear in the Folder Tree (with Favorites and Recent Items displayed in the tree).

If I add a new branch then magically both branches re-appear in the folder tree, but as soon as I exit and restart the branches are not displayed again (back to square one).

If this is a feature / settings if anybody knows how I sort it out ? - Would be grateful.

How are you adding the new folder? If you're trying to do it from the folder pane tree instead of through the favorites dialog this might be why it's doing what you see.

It's almost the opposite in fact.

If I drag a folder from the current lister onto Favorites in the Folder Tree - DOpus quite happily adds that folder to my favorites and then as if by magic decides it will also display all the other folders under favorites that weren't showing in the folder tree prior to the drag operation (but were accessible via the Favorites Menu :question:

I'm pretty sure it's not how it's supposed to behave, if I get a chance I will post some screenshots to illustrate (+ maybe it's not a problem in the 9.0.0.2 update ? - will check when I get home).

A screenshot might be good phat because I can't seem to duplicate that here (I am using 9.0.0.2 though so maybe that's why).

It is still present in 9.0.0.2 - basically it seems that if you only have a branch under the Favorites root (even if that branch contains folder links) then the branch is not diplayed in the Folder Tree. If you then add a folder link directly under the Favorites root then it and the previously hidden branch are displayed (screenshot below).

I know none of the Links are available (created at work) but I get the same issue even when the llinks are available...

Confirmed. It seems to happen if you don't have any items at the root of the favorites tree.

I've filed a bug report.

This was fixed in Opus 9.0.0.3
