I'm using the newest version, Opus 12.31 Pro, with a dual pane lister setup, and I'm having an odd result each time I use a saved Favorite. When I click on the Favorites button in the left lister pane, and then select a saved Favorite, a new tab with the correct destination opens, but it's on the right pane. The opposite is also true, when I click on the Favorites button in the right lister pane, and then select a saved Favorite, a new tab with the correct destination opens, but it's on the left pane.
I've searched the Preferences for some way to reverse things, but find nothing. It would better suit my workflow if the Favorite opened on the same side as the Favorite button I click. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
I regret the long wait time for a reply to you, but local internet access was the cause. I have read the link you provided (Many thanks!!) and also to a couple of associated links in that article, but with no real help to me. Starting with the actual button that I click to show the list of saved Favorites, I do an Alt&Click on that button, but I find no where that OPENINDEST or OPENINDUAL could even be entered. I then moved on to the saved list of Favorites themselves, and selected one, clicked the Edit button up top of that window, and again find nowhere at all where either of those commands could be used at.
I'm obviously missing something, I just cannot see what it is. Might you have the time to walk me thru the process to check for either of the two commands you mentioned? I have spent over an hour trying to figure it out, but with complete failure.
Thank you! I was completely missing the Advanced button at the bottom of the Edit dialog box. Sure enough, the last entry was OPENINDEST, which I deleted, and now the Favorite entry opens in the side where I choose it from. I just need to remember to delete that entry each time I add a Favorite location, since it seems to be a 'default' behavior. I really do appreciate your efforts on this, it was driving me nuts!
I have a button for Favorites on each lister. And as far as the argument I removed, I have no idea how it gets there, so I take your word for it. All I do is add a location to my Favorites list, and there it is for when I need to navigate quickly to it. /me shrugs What do I know?
