This would be great to have...the ability to highlight the newest files in a lister directory so that it becomes easier to locate. Is there any preference that allows me to do this? Or...if not...can anybody come up with a script that does this very thing?
If you sort by modified date descending, all recently changed files will be at the top of your listing. The problem with highlighting "recent" changes is determining what constitutes recent? A day, a week, a month?

There's also the Relative Age column (gives you bars representing file ages), and the option to add new files to the bottom of the list instead of sorting them (like Explorer used to do, or maybe still does).
