Feature Request: Animated GIF Support for Toolbar Buttons!

Since there's a second slot for dual images in toolbar buttons, I think it would be really nice to be able to use animated gifs in toolbar buttons, allowing for some extra snazzyness for those who prefer it! Well, there's also a more-than-cosmetic use case, such as visually indicating the button's purpose.

This would truly open up a whole new world for some people, so, please, dear @Jon and @Leo ... make it a perfect present for Christmas, giving it some real consideration (and hopefully say it'll come, at some point). :innocent::pray::gift::clinking_glasses:

You want them animated all the time, or just when you click on them?

On hovering (dual image mode) primarily. So technically, all the time rather than when clicked. (Wouldn't say no to a clicked version as well but that would probably require a third image slot in the button editor, which might be too much of an ask.)

I'll admit, it is a bit of a cosmetic/theming-oriented request. But if this is not a too heavy task from a technical standpoint to add support for animated gifs (there's already support for static gifs), maybe it could become reality? Theming is, after all, something very important for the artists among us :wink: I'm designing all the buttons I have with great care, as it makes it more enjoyable clicking folders put in the toolbar, like "work", "bills", "mortgages", "divor..." :stuck_out_tongue: (you get the idea).

I've wanted this so badly too!
I use this feature on my stream dick (a small lcd display with just buttons) all the time, it supports gifs as Icon buttons.

Please do this! :innocent:
