File context menu font. The menu that is displayed when right clicking a file.
I can't find a way to change the font.
I don't think there is an option for those menus. They should use the standard font and size that the rest of the desktop uses. If it's too small, you can increase the font or DPI scaling in Windows (which will increase it for most applications).
(If you do, reboot afterwards to prevent things looking blurry.)
Is that an option that can be added to the Dopus font preferences in a future update?
Seems odd that nearly every other area of Dopus has an option for changing font style/size.
Is this one of those areas like the background of the network pane which doesn't respect the dark theme due to a limitation of the MS code?
A way to change it for menus which Opus renders itself is planned. (Won't affect menus rendered by Windows.)
(We've also found a way to change the Network folder colors.)
also looking forward to having context menus and other menu fonts editable in the future! their omission unfortunately makes all the other editing options a bit less welcoming because one is not able to get one consistent look across the entire app without them.
In the Opus 13 public beta, changing Preferences / Colors and Fonts / Fonts / Toolbars will affect file context menus.
(As long as they are ones Opus generates, not Windows. The menus for Drives are the main thing I can think of which Windows still generates within Opus, in terms of file display and folder tree context menus.)
need to seperate global toolbar font and context menu font, not sure why they have been put into one setting.
if you are not sure what you are looking at, the toolbar is on the left and the context menu on the right.
Menus are toolbars, behind the scenes. Why would you want those fonts to be different?
toolbar menus, I can understand would be affected by global toolbar font but not context menus, they are seperate elements in the user interface.
In the screenshot above it is not possible to set global toolbar font that size because the context menus are usually longer than the screen and have to be scrolled.
Directory Opus being Directory Opus there is a way of doing this of course, by setting a custom font for the toolbar and using the global font as the context menu font, but that takes more effort and can reduce the amount of customization that someone might otherwise do.
also it might help if this
was renamed to Toolbars (and context menus)
I was struggling with this same problem this morning.
I wanted to use a favorite font of mine for toolbars, but the context menus suffered.
I settled on Bahnschrift 9pt
.
I was able to use the attempted font, P22 Johnston Underground, on File Display Column Header and Folder Tabs
.
I'm still wading through fonts that I have and have some work to do on possible candidates yet uninstalled.
No, the ancient HP48 calculator fonts are not in consideration.
Here they are if anyone wants them.
