File description: Opus vs Explorer

I use description more often now. While backuping files and having issues copying description (solved) I saw that description column in Explorer is not the same than in DO - it's empty.

Could you please shortly explain what's the difference (I'm sure I have read it years ago but can't remember!)?

I've no idea what Explorer shows there, sorry. Is it documented anywhere? Explorer's columns rarely are.

Explorer shows nothing, that's why I just want to know if description in DO is filesystem-standard?

Edit: I use SyncBackPro for backup and it has got different backup-methods. Using standard descriptions get lost, but using "Windows Backup"-method works. I don't understand why there's a difference.

How descriptions are stored depends on the type of file. Some will be stored as NTFS metadata, which not all backup tools will back up.
