I am not sure if this is a bug or intended.

x Make folders expandable in the file display
x Expand folders when dragging over them
x Collapse after drag (spring loaded)

  • Hide expand buttons until a folder is expanded
    => works as expected

Expected behaviour:
Folder is expended when dragging
But no expending is happening, like the options are turned off.

Not really a bug. That's by design. Drag & drop isn't enough to turn on the expanders if they have been hidden. You'd need to explicitly expand a folder and make them appear for drag & drop to start interacting with the expanders.

The aim is to let people avoid expandable folders entirely most of the time, while still being able to explicitly and temporarily enable it (e.g. via a hotkey or toolbar button) without having to open Preferences.

I would like to change my expected behaviour to a cofigurable feature request :slight_smile:
