File groups and extensionless files

Hi,

I've been playing with File Groups lately and it is a handy feature.

One of the file types I deal with is a data grid format where there is actually no extension at all for the file. One dataset may contain files such as DATASET, DATASET.ERS and DATASET.ERS.GI. Silly I know but it is a widely used format in my field.

Is there a way to include extensionless files in a group?

I don't think there is. File Type Groups are based on extensions.
