File type edits are lost

Hello!

I am editing system file types (as limited user) in Settings>File types dialog. But after editing and reopening the dialog, all edits are lost.

Fe. file type is defined as HKCU\Software\Classes.mp3, with default key Apollo.Track. After edit, an HKCU\Software\Classes\Apollo.Track should be added and contain my edits, which is currently not the case.

What's wrong here?

BTW, permissions on HKCR\Software\Classes are OK.

If you attach a .reg file or two of the file type (check in HKLM to see if there's any info in there as well) and say what edits you're doing, I'll see if I can reproduce the problem by doing the same on my machine.

Settings>File types>select mp3 in System file types>Edit>dblclick 'open' action>select 'DDE command' as Type>enter anything>OK>Close

Now go to mp3 filetype again- all edits are lost.

I've observed that in Explorer, edits for mp3 with attached registry configuration is completely disabled (ghosted). Still, DO should not accept user input and then discard it silently.
