File types not recognized inside ZIP file

I have setup my PC's file types to open a particular extension (.diz) with notepad, which works fine if I double click such a file... unless it is inside a zip file... then DOpus fails to recognise what to do with it.
Oddly, I have also done the same for .nfo files, but DOpus works fine for those, even inside zip files.
Any ideas why I have this problem soleley with .diz files? I've tried rebuilding my PC, and get the same thing.
Thanks!

Forgot to mention that also oddly, if I switch the Viewer Pane on, it shows the .diz file within the zip file correctly (it's just a plain text file). It's only if I double click that I get the 'Windows cannot open this file type' dialog.

I don't know why doulbe-clicking a file in a zip would have different results to double-clicking the same file outside of a zip.

The viewer pane doing different things to double-click is perfectly normal, though. The Opus viewer pane/viewer plugins system doesn't rely on the Windows filetype associations that are used when you double-click files; instead Opus asks each viewer plugin if it wants to handle a file and will fall back on the text viewer if none do.
