Find as you type (FAYT) - keep same quick filter

Is there anyway to keep the results after you click a folder from the quick filter?

For example, if I have a list of 1000 folders/files and I type "cat", and it filters 15 results, and I click one result that is a subfolder, which navigates to the subfolder, if I click back how do I keep those same 15 results without having to retype "cat" again.

Turn off Preferences / File Displays / FAYT and Filter Bar Options / Clear Quick filter automatically when changing folders.
