Find Panel Searches too Many Drives

My computer has the normal C: drive plus a number of logical drives in the extended partition. I'm running win XP.

Many times I just want to search a single location such as C:\My Documents and I enter it in the pane just below "Find In:". Older searches where I have searched other drives are listed in a lower pane, and the search seems to include them, too. I can't delete them from the lower pane. I've tried the browse folder (alt-B), checking the C: drive, but it doesn't seem to affect the search. I've tried setting the folder tree to C:\My documents, but it doesn't help.

Any suggestions?
Thanks, Jim

The "lower pane" is not a history, but an actual list of places to search (allowing you to search multiple locations at once). Use the drop-down on the button with the big red X to clear the list.
