Flat File Folder Format

I cannot get this set right. I can set the flat file columns in preferences and that works. But I have a folder format for a particular folder that uses the 2 columns from preferences but adds three other columns. Those other columns show up for that one path but even if I save the folder format for that path it will not remember the column size I set. I try to set it to Auto but it keeps reverting to a numeric value. I cannot even save a new numeric value. I tried looking at the source of the format and it says flat view and "modified by command set SORTBY=size". The button used to go to that folder contains:

set FLATVIEW=MixedNoFolders
set SORTBY=size

Temporarily remove the "set SORTBY=size" line, close the lister and open a fresh one, then click the button and see which format(s) it says are in use. One of those should be the one you need to set the column to autosize in. (Set it to autosize in both just to be sure, if it's a column that appears in both formats.)
