Floating Toolbar not working with File Filter Field

At least for me, it's not working. I am using a floating toolbar. It's possible that the function I'm trying to use cannot be accomplished with a floating toolbar, hope I'm wrong. I am using the "File Filter Field". If I drag this command to a Lister, for testing purposes, I have no problem and it works great. But when I drag it to the floating toolbar. It totally ignores the command. I have a Lister open. My thought it might have something to do with the current Lister that's open.

Things like the filter field, which affect listers, should be in lister toolbars. They do not make sense in floating toolbars.

Using the filter bar (* key by default) is preferable to both these days. The filter field is a legacy thing.

Now that I've had a month to sit down and relocate this you're right what would I be searching for. I guess I was like a kid with a new toy, floating toolbars, trying to get it do everything and anything.
