I would like to create or use the fields that show in a folder. I use the set description but would love to have better method and what to create my own fields that I could changed. Is this even possible?
It should be possible, but the best way to do it, and the amount of knowledge/effort required, will depend on the details of what you want the field to show.
guess just start with text fields that show in columns, would there be a way to add on to the set description option. Or maybe Directory Opus could come up with a great new thing. I looked around at the other software like Director opus but none of them have anything like that. Thinking there must be a reason I think people would love it. In any case it don't sound like its something I could figure out. thanks

As I look at it I'm wondering if the the extended properties in Metadata would be a place to add extra fields, The comment which is the set description field and tags field are already there. would it be possible to add more fields here. just want some way to add more fields to a folder and or use the one's that show up there now which you cant edit on a folder. Its hard for me to explain this but just picture the columns displayed in a folder think currently there is name of course, rating,comment,tags ect. I would like to add my own fields and use the others ones that are there. the best way I'm not sure but it should be user friendly and easy to use. How would I make a request for consideration for a future release.
